For anyone else out there who is having problems with this, I would suggest running a tool like badblocks in Linux that tests the integrity of the CF card using another known good card reader before definitively deciding that it is a problem with the adapter card. I also struggled with mine for a few hours before discovering that the card I was using not fully ATA compatible. As soon as I swapped the card for one that was, I had my iPod back up and running in 5 minutes!

Pros: It is a good idea. It worked well while it worked. Cons: I purchased it to replace my harddrive with a cf card, which I did, I managed to install windows 7 64bit professional, and I got about an hour of runtime out of it.

Overall, looking at the product, there are a number of aspects that indicate poor quality, the zif connector has poor tolerances, the pcb also appears to have poor tolerances. Overall Review: Overall, the product would probably be fine if it didnt have quality problems. Pros: Easily replaces 1. Same size as old drive, just thinner. Depending on speed of CF memory, really speeds up an old tablet. Cons: Really expensive memory. A replacement hard drive is about BUT it is still worth the cost.

Everything loads and runs a bit faster but I trust non mechanical hard drives more so I will stick with it. Cons: doesn't work for my laptop that uses a standard ZIF connector the CF card and everything else complies with requirements so it seems it's not standard tech support was not helpful.

Overall Review: was really exited about this product, but it seems it's wasted money. Cons: Didn't work. It may have been because of the CF format, but I tried all kinds of things with the card and couldn't get it to work. Overall Review: I'm not too familiar with flash memory formats.
