Adobe indesign unlinking text boxes

First, you will need to know where the links panel is in InDesign. You can find the links panel from the window menu in InDesign. To start of with, click on Window from the Menu bar. Next, click on the Links Panel. A linked graphic resides outside the layout, which contains a pointer to its location. An embedded graphic usually is pasted into the layout through the clipboard. Because linked files remain separate, you can edit them in the applications in which they originate and update their links in InDesign.

Import the image and prepare the text that you would want to wrap around a subject. Select the image, and from the Text Wrap panel, select Wrap around object shape.

Select Wrap around object shape icon. Position the pointer over the object you want to select and right-click Windows or Control-click Mac OS to display the context menu.

Add or Edit Links. Select the Link Option from the tool bar at the top of the screen. Select link text. Link Properties. Type URL. Adjust underline. Unmarked Links. You must set both a hyperlink source and destination. The hyperlink source will be the article title in the Table of Contents. The hyperlink destination will be the article title within the body of the document.

Update modified links To update specific links, select one or more links marked with the modified-link icon. Finally, you can remove links selectively.
